Puzzles to play in full screen

How to go full screen
Open any puzzle and click the Full Screen button in the bar above the game. Your browser hides its tabs and address bar, and the puzzle table stretches across your entire display. To exit, press Esc on your keyboard or click the same button again. The button works on tablets too: the page shows without any browser bars and you drag pieces with one finger. Nothing to install, since full screen is a built-in browser feature in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari alike.
Why play jigsaw puzzles full screen
On a large screen every piece is bigger, colors and details in the photo stand out more clearly, and you have far more room to sort pieces around the image. That is a real comfort for the eyes, especially with a 500 or 1,000 piece puzzle, where the pieces are small and plentiful. Choose 24 or 48 pieces in full screen instead and the pieces become genuinely large and easy to grab, which is ideal for seniors and for anyone who prefers not to squint at a screen.
A few tips for full screen play
Start with Edges to pull out only the border pieces, then build the frame first. Use Preview to check the full picture whenever you get stuck. To zoom into an area, scroll the mouse wheel or pinch with two fingers on a tablet, then drag the background to move around the table; the Fit button brings the whole puzzle back into view. If you want an extra challenge, turn on Rotation, which also rotates every piece so you need to turn it upright before it can lock into place. You will find more tricks in our puzzle guide.
Your progress stays saved
Whether you play in full screen or in the normal window, every move is saved in your browser. You can leave full screen, close the page, and pick up the next day exactly where you left off, on the same device. Each piece count keeps its own progress, and the timer pauses the moment you leave. No account is ever required.
The best images for a big screen
The photos that gain the most from full screen are wide, open scenes: landscapes, mountains, beaches and cities. A new daily jigsaw puzzle is added every morning, and you can also play full screen with your own photo through the jigsaw puzzle maker. For everything about the controls, see our how to play page, or read help if something is not working. Ad-free play is also available with Puzzle Plus at /plus/.
