Help and Instructions

Here you'll find, in plain language, how the puzzles work, how to set up the game so it feels like the old one, and answers to the questions we get asked most often. Missing something? Write to us; the address is at the bottom of the page.

Why did the game change?

The old jigsaw puzzle game dated from a time when almost everyone played on a computer with a mouse. It was built for older devices and older browsers, and that caused more and more problems: it worked poorly or not at all on phones and tablets, progress was lost the moment you closed the page, photos looked small and blurry on modern screens, there was no full screen mode, and you couldn't go beyond a few hundred pieces. We also could no longer maintain it properly.

That's why we rebuilt the game from the ground up. What's better:

We understand that a change like this takes some getting used to, especially if you've played the same way for years. That's why you can simply switch back to the old way of playing (60 pieces, everything scattered across the screen): see Play Like Before. This choice is remembered, so you only have to make it once.

The new game with pieces scattered across the whole screen
The new game, set to 60 pieces and "Pieces spread out": pieces are spread across the whole screen, like before.
