Easy Sudoku: For Beginners and Relaxing

How to play

1. The game starts directly with a random easy sudoku. Use the menu to reach the daily puzzle or the medium and hard levels.
2. Each digit from 1 to 9 must appear exactly once in every row, column, and 3x3 block.
3. Tap a cell and choose a number. Wrong numbers are flagged.
4. Use the hint button to have a cell filled in if you're stuck.
5. The sudoku is solved once every cell is filled in correctly.

Tips and tricks

• Look first at the row, column, or block with the most starting numbers filled in. If only one or two are missing, the answer appears quickly.
• Pick a number, say 5, and check block by block where it's still missing and where it could go.
• Eliminate mentally: if the 3 is already in a cell's row and column, it can't go there.
• Calm and error-free beats fast with corrections: mistakes cost time.

About Easy Sudoku

An easy sudoku has plenty of starting numbers: usually 35 to 40 of the 81 cells are already filled in. Each row, column, and block is only missing a few numbers, and there's almost always a cell where only one number can go. That way you pick up the basic rule effortlessly: each number appears only once per row, column, and block.

Error checking flags wrong numbers right away, and hints fill in a cell for you. Both cost 30 seconds of your time, but for learning, that's exactly what you need. If easy sudoku starts feeling too fast, step up to medium in the menu or head straight to the Hard Sudoku page.
